Organize Your Tasks
Sedna CRM has a built-in task management system which allows you to fill in tasks and see them ordered by their expected completion date. In this way you can stay on top of your work by contributing to the tasks that are the most demanding in terms of their upcoming deadline.
To add a new task you should specify:
- a name to be used for its identification
- its expected completion date
- the user responsible for it
- visibility permissions (which users will be able to see it)
Tasks can be tagged with keywords, just like any other entity in Sedna CRM. Tags can be used to retrieve information quickly: you can tag tasks with a keyword reflecting the client they're associated with, or you can tag them based on other criteria (priority, importance, difficulty etc). Sedna supports multiple tag keywords for the same task.
In the Sedna's sidebar, under the Tasks menu you can see two counters:
- the number of tasks that are overdue (meaning their expected completion date is now in the past),
- the number of upcoming tasks (which have their completion date in the future but they aren't marked yet as being done).
As time moves forward, upcoming tasks are moved in the overdue category automatically. We found these counters to be very helpful in getting a big-picture overview on the amount work which is still pending.
